Matt Prior (born 27 May 1987) is an Australian professional Rugby League footballer for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks of the NRL. He plays primarily in the forwards, he previously played for the St George Illawarra Dragons with whom he won the 2010 NRL Premiership with His position of choice is at Second Row but his versatility also allows him to play at Prop and on certain occasions has filled in at Centre. ==Playing career== Prior started at the Dragons in 2006, making his NRL debut in round 5 of the 2008 season. On 22 March 2010 Prior signed for the Dragons for a further three years which will see him at the St. George Illawarra Dragons until the end of 2013.〔(MATT PRIOR RE-SIGNS WITH DRAGONS ). dragons.com.au. 22 March 2010〕 He was part of the victorious Dragons team which won the 2010 NRL Grand Final. On 13 January 2011, Prior was named in the "Blues in waiting" squad.
